The Equestrian Race Event (building the Horse Track) has now concluded. I'm closing this thread as the same questions are now being asked.

Please note:

1. If you still have the goal On Track for Success which asks you to upgrade to level 5 (which was timed at 5 days), note that this goal is now defunct. Just let it expire. It does not mean you can upgrade the Horse Track, only that you began this goal with less than 5 days of the end of the event.

2. You will not get any drops of banners or ingots from any source (even if you have the goal On Track for Success in your book).

3. The only way to upgrade the Horse Track now is with gems (even if you have the goal On Track for Success in your book).

4. The bug fix was to address the problem of the track not dropping any items. It is suppose to drop the items as listed on page 1 of this thread which it now does. The bug fix was not to make banners or ingots drop.

Helpful hints and tricks and all questions answered from previous posts:-

If you're contemplating using gems to finish the horse track, it is MUCH CHEAPER to speed up the track. It starts at 6 gems and goes down 1 gem every half hour. This is much cheaper than buying an individual banner or ingot at 20 and 25 gems each respectively.

Is it worth upgrading or having? My personal opinion is anything that multi drops items is worth it. Is it worth having if you need to spend more than say 30-50 gems? Probably not. You can get the drops from other sources, so not a catastrophe if you don't finish. Disappointing, yes, disadvantaged, no. (But that's just me, others might have a different opinion)

If you can upgrade your track to level 5 then Step 8 slipped by unnoticed. It did with me. I did check with S8 and everyone who said they didn't do actually did.

If you have the last 90 banners and ingots but not carrots or hide, you can still upgrade the track once you have these items. The upgrade button will stay available.

Banners and ingots stop dropping once the event concludes as will horseshoes. You can only purchase them with gems once the timer stops. You can do this at anytime in the future.

The finished Horse Track does drop XP. Will have to check if coins drop once event concludes.

I chopped an Equestrian Gift and got a horseshoe and a banner.

Bidding Booth: 3 hours, 4 horse shoes

The pink and wedding alicorns *don't* count as "horses", even though they prolly also wear horseshoes, lol, go figure.

White Ali's don't give horse shoes either

Building the Horse Track - 3 hour collection time (skip 6 gems)
Level 1: 1 fancy beam, 2 builder's paste, 1 rope, 1 fancy block
Level 2: 3 fancy beam, 3 fancy block, 8 banner, 8 ingots
Level 3: 10 hide, 3 rope, 30 banner, 30 ingots
Level 4: 2 royal beam, 2 royal block, 63 banner, 63 ingots
Level 5: 25 hide, 25 carrots, 90 banner, 90 ingots


Drops from the Finished Horse Track:
carrots, ropes, sugar, horse shoes, horse hair, fertilizer, armour
Drops from the Horse Shed:
horse hair, wool, ....


How many horseshoes, banners and steel ingots drop from each level of the Horse Track?
Level 1: 1 horseshoe, + 3 of either banners and steel ingots
Level 2: 3 horseshoes, + 2-3 of either banners and steel ingots
Level 3: 4 horseshoes, + 5 of either banners and steel ingots
Level 4: 7 horseshoes, + 6 of either banners and steel ingots
Level 5: 11 horseshoes. No banners or steel ingots drop.

Rewards 2000 coin, 7 xp, 10 horseshoes

4. A Fine Day at the Races
Visit 10 stables
Gather 50 horseshoes
Rewards 270 coin, 2 xp, 2 Equestrian Gift

5. Racing Wager
Upgrade the Horse Track to level 4
Feed 10 rat tails to the horses
Pick a horse for Ivy (collect from a horse)
Rewards 1250 coin, 5 xp, 2 Equestrian Gift

NOTE: IF MAXED AT 110 ROPE, SEND AN EMAIL TO SUPPORT AND PM THE TICKET NUMBER TO meowmeowbeans or PikaSquirrel AND REQUEST 3 BE REMOVED.

There is also a daily trade (iOS) which asks you to give 3 rope.

Craft 3 rope

Pick a horse for Old Thomas (collect from a horse)

Exactly, I was going to say.... Just like in the vineyard quest, if you don't click on the goals that are timed but still show as new in the book, the timer will not start as long as you don't open the dialog. It worked for the level 3 upgrade and is working so far for level 5.

7. On Track for Success TIMED 5 DAYS ONLY TO COMPLETE
Upgrade the Horse Track to level 5
Rewards 2000 coin, 7 xp, 25 horseshoes

8. And the Winner Is...!
Feed 20 carrots to the horses
Feed 20 sugar to the horses
Feed 2 apples to Sir Pigglesworth
Rewards 1200 coin, 5 xp, 50 horseshoes

I somehow have two goals Hold Your Horses and Racing Wager, open at the same time. One is to upgrade to level 3 and one is to upgrade to level 5. I was trying to collect a lot of stuff before moving to the next goal. Oh, well.

Racing Wager is to upgrade to level 4, too. That's the goal I'm on. So you have goals for level 3, 4, & 5?? That's so wrong!! I'd email support about that since level 3 & 5 are both timed.
