Bad timing for me. I just found my aquafier shard this morning.....lol.

1st---talk to Ivy (just press talk, no need to visit her house) reward--- festival permit
2nd-- buy festival grounds (500 coins)
3rd--build festival grounds (1 festival permit, 25 stone, 25 wood)

I didn't think to take screen shots, it was all done in less than a minute. Not gemming ahead, so 10 hours until I see more.

I'm pretty sure was the reward for talking to Ivy. If not, it was rewarded for buying the festival grounds.

But is it timed? It doesn't seem to be.

Forgive me if this question is naive, as it is the first storybook for me.
But is it timed? It doesn't seem to be.

Typically they are 10 chapters, with 1 chapter unlocking each day. So yes, it is timed in that you need to finish within the 10 days. Several of us have finished today's chapter (as posted) and now have to wait until S8 reset time (midnight PDT) for chapter 2 to unlock. Speeding it with gems typically doesn't help, since you still have to wait until the rest time for day 3 to get chapter 3 or spend even more gems.

There's a thread somewhere that explains this better, I gave a quick summary.
