It's impossible to pass as far as I can see. Every time I destroy a color shield two more drop down. There is nothing I can do to pass.
Level 229 doesn't make sense.

Welcome here. Level 229 is indeed hard but not impossible. If you look at the post about the Wild West levels you Will see some suggestions of what pals Can be used. I do not remember my setup at the moment and im out of energy so Can not check what it looks Like. Just know that several People have passed this level now, also some that does not have many rare pals.
