Appliance and coins used to purchase have disappeared.

I spent 16,000 on a mixer and proceeded to place some food on my counters. I guess the game buffered for about 2 seconds but then my mixer disappeared and the food went back to the stove tops. I figured that there was just something wrong with my connection and I'd have to re-do my actions (which sometimes happens). After I placed my food and went to re-purchase the mixer, I realized that the coins had been stolen. Normally I would just let it go but I just made a large number of purchases so I'm down to about 3,000 coins now with no mixer. I even checked to see if it was in storage but it's not.

Is there any way to fix it?
