This thread can be deleted completely with just one action, I used to be a mod on a website and the mod controls are all basically the same for every website.
They may not answer but they will know that there are a huge amount of unhappy players.
If this goal was a test to see if players did complete the goal using gems then it was a crying shame they chose to do it for the 4th July celebrations.
I suppose the outcome will depend on how many players did complete the goal, if the number outweighs the ones who did'nt then it may be a regular thing for goals, if it is, then I will be quitting bakery as I will lose interest in the game, the updates and goals are what keeps the players and new players interested and also bring in a healthy revenue for storm8/TeamLava, paying gems to complete goals will eventually cause a huge drop in that revenue.
I've always said that it's the members that make websites work and the same applies to online games, take away the interest, the websites eventuallly begin to fail.
Sit tight and see what happens
