Weird glitch: map zooms out, levels not accessible

Usually, this happens when I have played a level two or three times without beating it, and I try to play it again with 1 or 2 energy left. The game will suddenly zoom out from the world to the bigger map and most of the icons will disappear including the ability to zoom back into the world and select the level. Once I restart the game, it usually works fine, but this is a weird glitch. See attached screenshots. I'm playing the most updated version (whichever one was released on 5/26/15) on an iPad 2.
