Depending on the version of iPad, emoji should be in your Keyboard options. Go to Settings, General, Keyboard, Keyboard (again), Add New Keyboard, then select Emoji from the list.

Emoji's in messages disappearing.
Today I've noticed that the emojis I am posting along with others are being removed from the messages.
I play on an iPad 4 and never had this problem before. Has anyone else noticed this?
Yes, I've had a couple of blank messages today and hadn't actually thought that until I'd seen your post. I was wondering how they were blank. Makes sense now.

It seems to be ok now. I've just had a couple of messages that were fine and I've just wrote one that was ok too.

I thought it was a bug or something, all emoji messages have this issue currently. Mine hasn't been fix, playing on android jelly bean.
