Pet Shop Story

I am new to forums. Never asked a question in forums before, so I have no idea if in the right place. In pet Shop Story, how do I get things out of storage. I have clicked on "move" then on "storage" icon. But when I click on an item (no matter what it is), it says "This material is used to complete constructible items". When I click "continue" it just takes me back to the list of items in storage. So how do I use those items to complete the pet pens and such. I apologize, this is probably easier than I am making it.

First you buy the item you want and place it anywhere in your shop. Once it's bought, you tap on it and then you'll have the option to "Ask" for those items from your neighbours. If you already have some of those items in storage, it will count towards the total number of those items that you need.
