Is it possible to adventure to the plume hive in advance?

Yes. I did that in advance and the goal registered this when I tapped once the plume hive adventure was completed.

I guess if you want to be surprised, you have to be careful about visiting neighbors who may have finished the quest already.

For those who finished, did the magic experiments have any effect on reducing dire boar sightings? I really dislike them.

Does it hint at the removal of all direboars?...or just end, and continue in the fairy line?

Step 5: Sneaking Suspicions
Test Glimmer Plants 0/5 (test) <How will they react to Feral Magic?>
Examine Dire Glimmer Plants 0/5 (give) <These are weirder than usual!>
Examine Feral Magic 0/5 (give)

In fact, that step can last as long as you want it to (and you can get souvenir dire glimmer plants) until you GIVE the plants & feral magic.

Every thing the same as it was before ,,, as far as I can see ,, I thought it was going to slow,down the boar but it has not... It's just as crazy as ever,
