Woohoo! I finally saved enough gems for a magic fruit tree! I'm now saving gems for a wizard school and barracks and mermaid pond and harvest pergola and and and...lol.
Have Sir Hamlet and received gem/s on one of my drops. Not sure how many, as I wasn't expecting in and opened lots of stuff at one.
