? Found item/Missing gems

I just started Fashion Story and had purchased a few gems. There were 28 left this morning when I went to move a few tables and clothing racks. A pop up came stating congratulations you have found the spring floral table you will find it in your decoration area. It gave me an option to purchase another which I didn't do. Thinking I had won something I found it in my decorations and placed it. Now 24 gems are gone.

I am trying to understand what happened so I don't do it again. Thanks

Looks like I somehow ended up opening the formal chest and got a 3rd prize. Looking on the bright side at least it is something I will use. I don't like anything else in that package at all.

But anyhow it just should not be that easy to buy a chest by accident. Thanks

I am sorry this happened. If you tap on of these boxes, you end up buying one random item for 24 gems.
