Wait....so we can only collect from it every 2 days....Lets say it takes 3 days to go thru these last quests to get the thing, that means about 8 collections......ummmmmmmm?
400 gems= about 7$ U.S. Sale price gems
And we might get about 10 collections.

Cue the gem speedsters who decide to buy one and speed it up to see what it actually drops.....lets hope it not something like 1 Royal beam, and one Xmas wall....lol

I bought one before I knew that was what we earned at the end of the quest. It costs 100 gems to speed it up. So I won't be doing that. I'll let you know in 2 days what it drops. However, there might be someone willing to do it. I'm still so bummed. I don't really need two. Impulsive buy. Ugh.

Just a quick spoiler, so that you all know what you're working towards --

The final prize for this quest chain is a Pile of Gifts, a deco that will drop a random Gift item bundle every two days from now until January 5. There are a bunch of different possible Gifts, including things like building materials, holiday decos, trees, animals, and more.

WoW Every two days until Jan 5th? That's not a lot of drops. It certainly doesn't feel like a generous Christmas to me. And I've already invested 2 of my precious golden nuggets....

Seriously? When it takes a total of 100 gems to skip the task.

Seriously, Team Lava...I'm a very patient player, I didn't complain about the months and months it took to finish the sister sister goal, or any of the other long goals. It's part of the attraction of the game. But the goals in a timed task need to be realistically achieveable for players at high levels. I've no problem spending 5 hours crafting an item... I have the patience, but I'd at least like to be able to CRAFT the darn things!
Considering the Halloween event used up all my gold nuggets and I've seen none since (maybe one ages ago that I used in the Royal exchange) in those 6 weeks, it's a poor decision of the designer of this task to create a timed item that requires 5 of the rare drops to be used in a week, when none have dropped in all that time since the last timed event that required those items.
I'm sure I'm not the only player in this position.... At level 50 remember...I'm not a newbie that short on resources.
Not happy.

Nuggets can drop from all rock sources. I've found the Sparkling mine drops most and rock outcroppings have worked for me too.
