my vote would be for uniformity among the crests/ shields. so,.. that is white background. and the stand alone cupperbutt. it took me a moment to figure out that was the bow of a ship. and I choose 6. to be A... as it fits better with the others.

Something has been brought to my attention....

We voted on & have been calling the images a "banner" so maybe it should be put ON a banner instead of the crest/shield I had in mind?

Here are 5 diff white banners (since that background color seems to work for all images) with RT 2's Silver Dragon on them, just to get a comparison idea & to see the difference.

Thoughts? ...Do y'all want one of these banners for all of our images instead of the shields w/crossed swords?
...OR... Maybe we just change em from being called a "banner" to "crest" or "shield" or "crest shield" or even "coat of arms"? lol

Banners vs. Crests/Shields

I think I like the idea of the crests/shields better since our knights would each carry one while the banner would be a single banner for display either in the field of battle or at the Round Tables.

So keep my votes for the crests/shields. Thanks so much for all your hard work, m'lord!

I agree with parlski that uniformity of the colors would be nice. Plus, the gray and black options look way cooler, but don't necessarily make good icons, just good images.

But I also think that our fearless graphic-design-major leader could find a shade of each table's color that would look REALLY good with each image. We would have to see some examples to really compare and vote fairly against the other choices. But that could be fabulous! With visual examples provided, I would probably change all of my votes to the table colors.

The banners can be used sometimes, AND the shields. 1. looks like it's from a hotel lobby. 2. and 3. look identical, except 3. is more warlike. 4. Is my favorite. 5. looks very interesting with the tassels.

- - So I say the white shields are a good idea, and table-colored shields would be even better.
- - We're more about banquets than battle, so I choose banners over shields, specifically banners 3. 4. and 5, with 4 definitely being the most banquet-ish to my eyes.

While the banner idea is intriguing (I envision our standard bearer carrying it proudly into battle) for display purposes, I have to remain loyal to a shield with our crossed thuackie swords...as that is truly our over-arching symbol.

And finally, I COULD be persuaded to have the basic outline/framework of every table’s shield be the same forged-metal look, but then each background color is the assigned color of each table...that would tie in the whole color concept well.

So in summary, I guess I am voting with a little plate of "waffle" tossed in for good measure!
