Toucan meant to give gems not to breed for unicorn hybrids
I get the name can be confusing to think both are related

Treasure element and gem element are 2 different elements, and only one example of confusing names in this game. Yesterday I realized that I sold a Rockadile because I thought it was a Chromadile. So now I still lack that animal.

I get ur furstratuon of lacking unicorn now
It was driving me crazy at first

But toucan is a treasure element that gives gems
Unicorn is a gem animal that gives coins

Am only saying that
So u wouldn't be too furstrated awaiting a change ( that honestly don't think is gonna happen )
If u play dragon story u would see they also have gold animals ( as in the game they use gold and not gems )

Hope ur luck turn around
And if ur a new player as level less that 30
I would try for it now ( after the limited obviously )
As we all noticed that odds are better when ur new to game than later

Yikes, my mistake. I went back and it is like a gem and the others are diamonds, oops. The unicorn quest is endless! I've been playing since game 1st released to IOS & have been level 40 for months. I bought the habitat in the summer & just wish I could put something in it, lol. I really wish I could get that darn elusive unicorn!!

What if I touch the habit accidently and put the animla close up
Would it reset my time

I have a gem floating now on toucan
If I collect one every day does it mean I get to get a gem every day
Or I must wait 3 days in total

Very confusing
And my fingers seems to eagerly want to touch the habit

Looks like there is a new format for collecting gems from the treasure animals. Until a day (or 2?) ago a floating gem appeared above the animal in its habitat once one gem was available. Today I missed the floating gem. Now we see if there is a gem or two available by tapping on the habitat in the same way that we check for coins in the other habitats. Mine tells me one gem is available. I'm waiting till there's 2, or 3 if I can....just so I don't reset at an in convenient time of day.

i have easily tried 60 times for touchan and never anything but ferrets. i will keep plugging on between trying for limiteds. havent got a single gem animal yet

Woohoooooooo! I finally got the Toucan! I bred vinotaur x ocean owl for quite a long time, then did some othet combos and returned to vino x ocean and got it 3th attempt, all over i yhink i come close to 30 attempts, Toucan is evolving now for the first time.
