    Battleground 5: Thorilla - 2014 Oct 31

    This battlegrounds has a new feature - every 10th battle is vs. a BOSS. Boss animals have what appears to be 4 times the health of regular animals. In most cases, it takes more than one battle to beat them. But they do not regenerate between rounds. So the damage you do is still knocked off its health for your next try.

    General Tournament Guide:

    The more rare your animal is, the better your chance of winning.
    The higher your animal's level, the better your chance of winning.
    Choose an animal with a strong attack, and preferably with no weak elements.
    How to use the graphic: any element shown above another is strong to it. Below = weak. If neither above nor below it, neutral.



    What I ended up getting the wins with (battles in grey are ones I did NOT choose the best fighter for, but got lucky wins anyway):
    Round 1 - ancient sloth 15, earth attack, beat the lightning leopard
    Round 2 - nightmare 15 is the wrong elements but beat the pyro pony anyway.
    Round 3 - ancient sloth 15, earth attack, beat conducktor.
    Round 4 - ancient sloth 15 is the wrong elements but beat the skyger anyway.
    Round 5 - vinotaur 15, nature attack, beat rock rhino.
    Round 6 - ancient sloth 15 got a defensive win (4 non-critical neutral earth hits) vs. thunderhawk.
    Round 7 - nightmare 15 is the wrong elements but beat the shock fox anyway.
    Round 8 - vinotaur 15, fire attack, beat pandaffodil.
    Round 9 - ancient sloth 15 (earth attack I think) is the wrong elements but beat the frostfang anyway.
    Round 10 - koala cadabra BOSS - first battle, my sloth got 2 criticals using earth. Second battle, my vinotaur L15 finished him off with a critical on the first shot, fire.

    Round 11 - ancient sloth 15, nature attack, beat plantlers.
    Round 12 - beat fairy ferret with one fire shot from my ancient sloth 15.
    Round 13 - beat rock rhino with one nature shot from my ancient sloth 15.
    Round 14 - thunder mammoth 15, earth attack, beat pyro pony.
    Round 15 - daredevil 15, electric attack, beat sea lion. (after 3 tries with my thunder mammoth failed.)
    Round 16 - ancient sloth 15, earth attack, beat armordillo.
    Round 17 - rampage 15, earth attack, beat lightning leopard.
    Round 18 - ancient sloth 15, nature attack, beat rainguin.
    Round 19 - ancient sloth 15 is the wrong elements but beat chromadile anyway.
    Round 20 - bansheep BOSS - took down in 2 battles: first ancient sloth 15, earth attack, then vinotaur 15, fire attack.

    Round 21 - ancient sloth 15 got a defensive win over skyger.
    Round 22 - ancient sloth 15 is the wrong elements but beat solar simian anyway.
    Round 23 - ancient sloth 15, earth attack, beat firefox.
    Round 24 - ancient sloth 15 is the wrong elements but beat planther anyway.
    Round 25 - ancient sloth 15 is the wrong elements but beat frankenswine anyway.

    Round 26 - ancient sloth 15 got a defensive win over frostfang.
    Round 27 - vinotaur 15, fire/nature attacks, beat racmoon.
    Round 28 - ancient sloth 15, nature attack, beat racmoon.
    Round 29 - rampage 15, earth/fire attacks, beat ember bear.
    Round 30 - Arboar BOSS - beat with crystal unicorn, then daredevil (electric attack), then unicorn again.

    NOTES

    Dominance: Indicated inside the <POINTED BRACKETS> whenever responders have at least one element that is neutral or weak against the challenger. If no dominant element is indicated, ALL the responders' elements are strong against the challenger. E.g., against Dark-Fire, WATER, EARTH and FIRE are ALL dominant. In such cases, if you don't have a super with two dominant elements, use a corresponding rare; otherwise, select a super with just one of the dominant elements.

    Selection Example: If the challenger is Glider, Daredevil or Lion, look for Electric-Fire in the Selector. Recommended responders are Electric-Earth or Earth-Fire, and EARTH is the dominant element. If you don't have Terradactyl or Magmacore, you would use Mammoth, Volcamel or Rampage. If you have neither the supers nor rares for this set of responders, you are better off going with a super EARTH like Gargolem, Griffin, Grassquatch or Sloth. Try not to use Shock Fox, Armordillo or Rhino unless the challenger is the common Glider. The dominant element is indicated so that you can pick a second-best super if needed.

    Winning: Once you select your fighter and enter the battle, your odds are SET, and it won't matter which element button you use. If you don't roll a Critical, your hit will do standard damage of 25-33% from EITHER element button. If the opponent lands at least 2 weak hits (20-25% each), your animal will survive the 3rd counter-attack and get a defensive default victory. Your 4th hit ALWAYS wins, if you get one, even if you don't get a Critical.

    I've seen it was Lightning Leopard and instead of use Frostfang, I've used Lightning Leopard.. AND I'VE WON, WHAT THE HECK?! xD I was like "hmm.. what happened here? .-."

    zenobia42 on levels 10, 20, 30, 30, 40, 50 & 70, the rewards aren't skulls.. If you tapp on the levels with the circle bigger than the other ones, you can see what will be the rewards, you see the rewards for every level that ends with a 0 and a 5, the skulls are only a symbol, maybe a symbol of this animal.. don't know

    Oh, cool, thanks! Never thought to try tapping on a level I'm not at yet lol.

    It's weird - I don't get why they put the skull symbols there. It's the same typical bonuses you get every 5 rounds (extra gold, energy or food).
