If you have night or lotus try that. I beat Avenging with Lotus

I don't use diamonds or champs against champs as it is far too risky in terms of them ending up in the queue for the spa and not being available for the rounds that they are really needed. I have never found them effective in battles against champs anyway.

If it is a champ you want, then this is the tournament to use gold to get yourself a super rare one at a bargain price compared to what it is in the market. I would consider using ultimate on the champs and high level diamonds like Dark Angel and Astromancer.

I usually don't go more than 5 rounds against a champ and then I will ultimate. The most effective dragon at winning I have found is Passion. Other than that I would use single element dragons like Water, Fire, Light, Forest etc and then the commons like Fruitful, Coral etc. All dragons have the same chance of winning against a champ so choose dragons which you are not going to need in later rounds.

hi everyone ... glad to see those of you I have quickly read up on are doing well
I am sorry things have been so busy with me and they wont get any better really ... I have also had a tremendous run of bad luck, losing at least once every other round on my account so it doesnt bode well really.
Currently stuck on Templar having lost diamond, soccer and pyramid - its just not my tournament
D1 is sailing ahead and has just lost her very first round on Avenging.
D2 is doing well having just got past Templar and will be facing Dapper next

Very true about the sales on Gold Dragons, I got a Goldleaf on sale. I've been watching the market for months though and the only Gold Dragon that I've seen on sale is the one I have. But thank you for the advice; I know I'm going to end up using at least one Ultimate in this tourney

Yes! that's what im waiting for, i have jsut over 400 gold ( as i install every game they have!) and will continue to save for one gold sale I even backed away from the halloween habitat :'(
