Game Completely Reset After iOS upgrade

I was on Island 47 (I forget which level) when I performed a software upgrade on my iPhone (iOS) and my game was completely erased. Now I'm back on the earlier stages of the game working my way up, but I was wondering if it was possible to restore my game? This happened to some of my other Team Lava/Storm 8 games as well.
