I have found that if I put my trees away for a day or two and then take them out again, I always seem to get a golden apple in the next 24 hours. I'm up to 72 apples this way, but then again, I've been playing a long time. For those of you who are stuck, you might want to try it. I'd be interested in knowing if other people have noticed this.

I finally got my golden apple after nearly a month, I baked apple pies and still had 99 in inventory, when I got it finally I went and bought Sir Piggy, my first drop from Sir Piggy??? an apple, that's it an apple and 30 coins. Since then I have had some cool stuff but usually it's just truffles, I now have two apple trees and have never seen another golden apple so I will try to put them away for a day or two and see what happens.
