Try super rare dark creature against him, they have a greater chance of critical hit. I tried a lvl 10 Onyx Ox and it worked.Originally Posted by shepsville

Yes I have tried him twice, but to no avail Tatyjana, should I just keep on trying with that one? Actually I have used all my dark creatures more than once, and still can't get a Critical Hit ...... So frustrating (sad face)

Finally got past Aurora Pegasus with two critical hits from my Cosmic Pheonix (10) Where were you several hours ago?? Lol. Onto the last round finally! Crossing my fingers my luck keeps up.

Do you not have an ultimate due to gem availability, or is the option not there for some reason? I gave in and ended up using it because every gem animal was taking a day or longer to defeat, including him, and it was just getting too stressful with the headache I had to deal with it.
Dark is strong against gem, and fire against nature. At this round, how high your selection is leveled shouldn't make that big of a difference, but a super rare has the highest odds. At the same time, I defeated cosmic phoenix with a common, so don't let that hold you back on trying different options.

Sometimes it can take multiple tries to work. Severely annoying, but it's happened several times for me like that on this one. You could also try just straight pyro pony, for the pure fire element
