I had to get a ton of skunkupine tails for a storyline recently. I had the best luck with repeatedly checking:

Pepe le Skunkupine (tame skunkupine from an old Ivy quest)
Red flowering bush (bought around Valentine's day to get red petals; it often spawns a love-cupine, not sure if those will count)
Wheat, corn, tomato, and sugar crops

This quest sounds like a lot of fun. Have 7.5 hrs to go on my arena. Actually set my alarm for MN ! Have made a lot of the other stuff while constantly playing sunstone quest.

Just to make sure I'm not missing something, if I have a monster in the corner of my kingdom it won't hinder me in this quest until I get a goal saying to **** 5 fangbeasts & skunkupines, right?
