Lost Gold, Not Earning More Gold

Hi - I have been stuck on nine gold bars for ages - at least two levels. No score seems to budge it.
Last time I actually was rewarded any gold I had a total of 19 but ten mysteriously disappeared.
That was around two months ago and it's been stuck at nine ever since.

Any ideas on how I can get back as well as start earning gold again?
