The Gold Trophy is in the market, we wait 4h and get 16 balls, but we only can have it if we buy, it's 450gold.. I'm staying only with the Silver Trophy I won from the world event

Well I'll just keep my second place free trophy. 450 is just too high a price even for me.

First reward is a silver trophy. Once placed, a 4 hour timer starts on it and you can collect soccer balls from it.

Thanks for the info.. I had assumed it was just a show piece and it would have stayed in my storage unless i saw your post.

I can't do much of anything ATM! My Air dragon is in a 22 hour breeding then has to hatch. I can't do the quest either!

About the battles for this; don't they typically start out with low level opponents? Since this started, I had to battle a Jade 12 and now an Atlantis 12. Am I missing something?

The soccer field holds 4 dragons, unfortunately one dragon will have to live elsewhere

There isn't a tournament going on. Right now it's just individual battles and you get random opponents. When a new tournament starts the dragons will be from low to high.
