    Losing energy when redoing 3 star levels

    I've been going back through early levels to meet the challenges. I've noticed that I lose a life no matter how many stars I receive on levels that I already have 3 stars on. For example I just redid levels 21 and 27 (both of which I had 3 stars on) and lost an energy on both even though I got three stars on the retry.

    I like the incentives that the challenges provide, but if I'm going to lose a life what's the point in trying?
