Pink Alicorn Energy Drop

I've had my pink alicorn for a while, and it usually drops about 5 energy at a time (I believe this is standard). But the other day when I checked my alicorn, I looked away, only to find that my total energy had jumped to 132. I have a max of 40, and wasn't checking anything else that gives energy at the time (trades, adventures, etc.)
I was wondering, is this a glitch? In the days since, my alicorn has given its standard 5 energy. Or is the potential drop rate much higher than I had considered?

Definitely not a glitch. The pink alicorn is a bit immature so it can drop the low amounts but sometimes it can drop 10, 20, 50 or 100. You'll find others talking about it here and in the woohoo thread
