The new expansion area (the one that requires no permits) is not letting me clear, edit or use it for anything. I gave the coins and lanterns needed, the smog lifted but I cannot get to it. It is not showing up anymore under expandable areas and in edit mode it is still a lighter color green than the already accessible areas as if it is still outside my kingdom boundaries. I forced closed many times, when that did nohing I deleted and re-downloaded. Still the same.
I just expanded there and mine is okay. I just chopped a tree.
Are you still in edit mode? Can you post a screenshot?
