Cannot Expand to Glimmer Gate

Hello,
I have finished the Sabina storyline, expanded to the roost, started the glimmer gate storyline and cannot expand to the glimmer gate. I do not have an expansion grid that reads "3000 RP, 15 lanterns and 200K coins."

Have you previously expanded to it? Have you done all the expansions next to it as you can't skip expansions - they have to be joined?

Thank you so much for answering. After restarting my game, deleting (scary) and re-installing CS, researching, etc., I realize it is a simple expansion issue. This morning I finally had crafted enough lanterns to expand another grid toward GG. TaDa! Up pops the expansion grid for GG. Duh

I have been playing CS since the end of December, 2013, rather randomly. After I started reading your excellent game guide, with the link to the update list, I've been trying to go back and follow the storyline. The GG will give me the final character, Greselda. My goal is her beautiful fountain.
