This is probably a dumb question, but idk how to update it. There are no "updates" for it in the App Store or anything and when I play the game, it keeps on saying that there is a weekly update. How do you update it?

The weekly content is pushed automatically to your game so you don't have to do any updates in the App Store. You'll only need to do that when there are new versions.
When there's an update, that just means go check all the design tabs for new content. Don't bother checking the oven or drink maker though, only RS gets new recipes on its basic appliances on a regular basis. If you play that though, always remember to check those too. ^_^
