When does dragon level matter?

Does higher level dragon:

Bring higher rewards in quests ?

Increase chances of higher rarity in breeding?

Dragon lvl makes no difference at all really. Once you get them to lvl 4 to breed with, it has as much of a chance as a lvl 10 to get anything. It's all down to dumb luck

Some people have said that sending out dragons for the quest outpost, they seem to have more luck if they send out a dragon that is the same lvl as the one in the pic for the quest. Personally, I don't notice any difference.

The level matters in the arena and also for earning rates, but doesn't matter in quests or breeding

It matters also for the Journey to Dawn quests where you will need 10 of each dragon color to be level 10 (white, red, blue, green, purple, yellow) in order to purchase buildings that provide boosts to your habitats.

I guess it depends if you are on IOS or Android. The only advantage I have noticed on Android is they earn more coins at higher levels. Mine are all at 10, though.
