Same here, came to post. Also, my goal to dl RS: Ski Lodge reverted to 5 gems, even though it said 6 last week..really regretting not nabbing that one while I had the chance -_-# However, this is only happening in BS, RS, Fashion, and DS (down to 25 gold from 30), not with Farm & Pet Shop which are still at 6 gem rewards.

Hmm, very odd. If farm & pet shop have yet to revert to 5 gems I wonder if it's some weird glitch? I truly hope this isn't a change that's going to stay.

I'd say they're desperate - they're offering me a gem sale like 5 days out of a week now (I haven't made any gem purchases so far).

This may be a little off topic (I do notice that this post's about updates) but the gems are way overpriced in my opinion.
I know it's a commercial decision but even with a gem sale they cost around HK$1 per gem (roughly US$0.125) if you buy 275 gems.
So if you buy a icecream parlor it translates into US$4.375 which means a decent meal here in Hong Kong.
Sorry TL but no way am I going to buy ONE decor with that money.

I'm on Android and only 4 gems... so it's definitely not a glitch (or a very selective glitch, if it is one).

Android. For downloading fashion story:
8 gems on RS, BS, Fashion. 40 on Dragon. No change on other games.

Looks like they're back to their randomness.

I got 8 gems for these games too, but still 6 gems for PSS. Also my Jewel Mania goal got upped from 3 gems to 4 gems.
