I haven't tried it with crops but I just tried speeding the Air Dragon For Hearts Quest--used 4 gold. But didn't get extra hearts for speeding with gold.

No, you don't get extra on speeding quests.
Also, if you speed food, you get an extra heart for each hour you speed, but the hours cost 2 gold, so it is a bad deal to speed food. You can buy the hearts for one gold in the summoning.

Well I'm practically done with hatching already and quest doesn't seem too bad...but honestly I guess even if I don't make it to the teddy dragon I wouldn't care too much. It is cute as a baby but I don't like its epic form. White rose would be nice for arena.

I did not have the time to calculate my chances to get those 2 dragons but i hope i will get both of them. TL did a great job with the last summoning and i hope they will keep it that way with this one. My results so far ( i didn't see many players posting their current summoning status like they used to do with the last summonings ) :

Harvest food: 278/960 ( in 3 minutes i will get 6 more items ; i usually plant 1 h crops because i need food for my dragons and 8h crops during the night )
Complete the quest: 36/128 ( i have some worries here but i hope i won't use any gold )
Hatch dragons: 95/128 ( almost done with this one )

Looks like it is the Quest that is causing a bit of worry ! 32/128 or 25%

Harvest: Quest:Hatch = 303/960:32/128:79/128 = 32% : 25% :62%
