Food disappearing immediately

When my friend closed her restaurant story app all the food disappeared when she went back in! can this be fixed because she spent slot of time on the food!

Did she have the door blocked while making the food, then unblock it and close the app? Sometimes doing that causes the newly made food to quickly disappear, and the money will be credited to you. The door blocking method isn't something TL came up with, it's a user-created work-around. If this is what your friend did, nothing can be done about it. Otherwise it could be a glitch and there are other posts in the forum mentioning that.

When we block the door, it sometimes causes a quick sale as it was not a design feature of the game. However, sometimes after unblocking the door and visiting lots of nbrs or other players. It may prevent a quick sale. I know it's disappointing when everything disappears, we can't all be on 24/7. I've also found once I got into the middle levels, it is easier to build up food etc and we're able to stop open too.

I read from another forum that you can use any objects to block the door but don't use the podium. In my experience, this trick worked.

Sometimes you will not experience glitches like the quick sell but no guarantees.
It is best to not block your door.
Closing thread since it is a couple of year old.

The game will usually quick-sell all of your inventory if you block the door to your store. When you block the door, you may not see the customers coming in, but our system will still recognize them walking in and buying your items. When you open your door again, the consumption that took place while your door was blocked catches up, which is why it looks like you instantly lost all of your items.

If you want to avoid the quick-sell, don't block your door.
