Excess Trade

Especially during goals I find myself with an excessive amount of one item while still needing to go to the source for another. For example- lots of milk but no hides, too much iron ore and no jewels, full up on water but not fish (those red suckers are crazy scarce) and so on. Don't get me started on stone and wood! I'm always at a gross dearth or excess of those. There's hardly any balance! So. A trade perhaps? Or maybe a chart showing the best way to use up the extra? Or a way to sell items without feeling ripped off? The sell function is there for some items but no one uses it because it's a serious waste.

Anybody else experiencing this? Any viable solutions?

Oh! And can we get blue fish!? We gotta have blue fish. Y'know. One fish two fish, red fish...

I don't think you get any more red fish after doing that one goal (which I'm not looking up b/c I'm lazy).
but now I want blue fish, too.
