I received this quest this morning and gave all the chickens i had stored (which I'm almost always maxed on so was around 80% I think). When i came back to the game a little while later it's only showing 5/120 so i've lost at least 90 chickens and most likely won't be able to finish the quest now.
Try restarting your device, or deleting and reinstalling the game (your progress is saved on TLs servers). If you still haven't received credit for them, or they haven't been returned, email support@teamlava.com Give them your ID and what's happening.
Whenever you are having issues, try these two things first - restart your device,
