Living wood is hard to find

I can't find enough living wood. I think I have about 9. I have chopped trees and maybe get 1 wood. My sawmill sometimes don't give any living wood. If they do it's usually one again. Isn't there something you can do so we can get more living wood. Thanks

Living wood has a 4% drop rate from trees. I think the rate is better from sawmills. It can also drop from sir pig, Ivy's hut and the magic garden. You can also craft it in the potion shop.
