Bought wrong item want to sell it but can't?

Hi, I bought the cat- instead of the dog house. Now I want to sell the cat house because I never can afford it. But i can keep it but not store it? Because the cat house is big and takes a lot of space. But why can I not store it for later? And the reason I bought the wrong one is:I was eating and playing so, that's why. Wasn't paying attention!

You can't sell or store Pet houses once they have been placed on your Farm. Sorry about that!
