Adding photo instead of character ?

I've recently seen one or two ppl who have a photo of themselves instead of the normal female or male picture. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to do this? I've also seen ppl mention different characters such as Chinese etc... Is this true and how do u find these other characters? Thanks Shae. Also feel free to add a new neighbor 13Shae

I'm wishing it will become an option to keep the facebook picture or one from an album on the device used.

When you use the Facebook connect feature available within the game, the game will pull your friend's pictures from Facebook and make them briefly visible in-game. This is so you can tell which character in-game is which friend on Facebook. After you have added them as a neighbor and they have accepted, their picture will go back to the default avatar picture.

So shall I assume us android users cant do this?
