Double fish?!

My brother got a pop up on his phone saying for the next two days he'll get double fish when fishing in the pond. I restarted and updated my game but I haven't gotten the message. What's up with that?

I do not have this pop up, but if this is new, I have already gotten my pop ups today. I will need to check tomorrow to see if I get this.

What do you guys mean by pop ups? Like push notifications? I have those approved too but the only thing I ever get is a message telling me that it's time to harvest or that crafts are ready

I got that pop-up too! If I'm not wrong it started on 9/11 till 11/11(PST). Can't remember if it ends on 10/11 or 11/11. No wonder I've been getting bassx2, catfishx2 or anchoryx2 during my fishing earlier on.

I haven't seen the pop up, but I have been getting tons of fish , I used anchovy bait on a hotspot today and got Catfishx4
