By the way, surely TL is not expecting all players to be reading the forum for every quest so they should have just known about it ending 3 hrs earlier...
I'm just a volunteer in the forums. I don't have access to a heap of behind the scenes info. Unfortunately it's not quite 4am TL time so there aren't any TL staff members on the forum. I'm just trying to let people know what I think the response might be which is to email support.

I'm not suggesting that everyone would be aware about the time finishing early as I know not everyone is on the forums. But I do know that there are forum members that post info in their kingdom, answer questions etc. because of this I'm hoping that the info to email support will get out to the wider community.
Have a Castle Story question? Check this thread to see if it's already been answered. For reference info check here and here. Info on goals is here.

Add me as another one completely screwed over by the Turkey series as well as the Glimmer Bat which was never found regardless of how many times my knights quested and it also finished early.

Got to the point where you have to make the Turkey costume and you get 4 hours to complete a 4 hour build; now what idiot coded that - no time for sleep, slippage, real life or anything else. Are we expected to sit there watching the screen to collect it the second it is finished?.

I go to start the build and find that I can't because 1/3rd of my leaves have mysteriously vanished. I had 30 but when I try to make the costume there are only 20 in my inventory. SNAFU number 1 Having just used all my energy collecting things I am thus stuck without any juice so do an emergency trade for energy using gems. Get the extra leaves and start the build then complete it immediately also using gems just to be sure it gets done in time but find that the quest has been completely removed from my log. SNAFU number 2.

So that's 2 holiday quests which have been totally bolluxed by broken software and gems which have been stolen by phony objectives. With code this bad I can only assume that TeamLava [] and profit is now the only thing that matters.

As far as emailing support goes - why should we have to? Its not like every user in the world reads these forums and is going to see this post. Just be a responsible company for once, fix the code and reset people's objectives to a realistic target with sensible timeframes.

And give us all a free Glimmer Bat and Sacred Horn while you are at it since it is impossible to get these in the required manner.

Another victim of the early end to this quest. At roughly 1-1:30 AM (yes that's AM in the morning) I had 6 hours left. It was a bit difficult to determine that I only had 6 hours left because the progress bar (even though I wasn't making progress) was blocking the time, but it disappeared for a second and I saw 6 hours. So this should have ended my quest some time around 7-7:30 AM my time. Wouldn't you know when I woke up at 5:30 AM and got into my game about 5:45 AM, the goal was gone. Now here's the thing, all I needed was 4 wheat to trick the cow into putting it on. I used 2 red dye (which is hard enough to make when you don't have the Valentine's Day stuff) and all that felt and it all disappeared with nothing to show for it. If I had missed the goal that would be my fault; although, this goal was barely do-able in the first place. If I had missed it because I overslept or forgot to go back into the game, I'd understand. I'd be ticked off, but I'd understand.

Here's the kicker all I needed was a few wheat. You see I didn't read ahead to find out what I should have stocked up ahead of time. I like to play the game in real time and not "*****" off others who paid to speed things up. For all of you who do read ahead, I'm not saying you *****. It's just the best word to describe how I feel about looking ahead that I can come up with at the crack of dawn, before coffee on 4 hours sleep. Anyway, silly me. Here I thought I need a few wheat which takes 2 hours at 1-1:30 AM and I had at least 6 hours, so why force myself to stay awake until 3-3:30 AM and only get 2 hours sleep when I knew I was going to be up well in advance of 7 AM my time.

I'm sorry to sound nasty and sarcastic and bitter, but this is beyond ridiculous. Even preschoolers know that 1+6 is not less than 5. Not here though. Here it means losing all of your progress and materials to be left with the option to buy it for 60 gems. If TL thinks I'm spending any more money on this game with all these glitches they're sadly mistaken.

Mark my words TL, you will lose more customers than you realize with these ridiculous "glitches" (not so sure they're glitches) and ridiculously limited goals. You see people will spend money on a game because they want to, not because they feel they have to. Sure no one is forcing them to spend money to get these items, but these games are all about showing off your accomplishments. Seasonal items are a sort of status symbol if you will or badge to show how long you've been playing and just how much time and energy you've invested in a game. So, while there is no one standing over someone threatening people to spend money there is a substantial psychological drive to do whatever it takes to get these limited items compelling them to spend money. You know this is true. It's the psychology of marketing. You create something that people feel they have to have because no one will spend money on something they don't feel they need or intensely desire. When fulfilling this desire provides pleasure people will buy your product or spend money on your app. Creating unnecessary obstacles to this fulfillment will lead to resentment and anger ultimately causing consumers to find a more user friendly product. Sure you'll always have people who don't realize or care that the odds are stacked against them (how do you think casinos stay in business), but most people will move on. If you don't believe me, find someone on your marketing team with a background in psychology and ask them. The bottom line is your bottom line will suffer in the long run.

Oh and let's not forget that in the past week at least 4 (FOUR) of my friends have lost access to their game. So the 3 people I talk to outside this game and at least 1 person who posts on my wall all lost their chance to get this limited stuff for free. Now add all the people who have posted on here about not being able to access their games and all the people who just said "forget it" and walked away and that's not good.

And another thing, why is this the only game that doesn't seem to have a "contact support" button from within the game. I have other games where it's so easy to contact support, I've accidentally clicked it and opened up the dialog to e-mail them. All the rest, the contact info has been really easy to find. Not in this game. I found it, but it wasn't easy, isn't clickable, can't be copied and pasted and is ridiculously small to read even on a full size iPad. support@teamlava.com

To all of you who read my rant: thank you.

This is quite disappointing if you used ridiculously difficult to get red dyes... or spent gems...
And the drop rate of leaves was way too low. The felt rate was ok only if you had at least 2 marketplaces.

I see all the posts and I'm here complaining about the same thing. Was working on the Halloween one and i need a glimmer bat, thats not happening now.

Plus the thanksgiving one is already gone? It's not even thanksgiving yet.

If you start something it should be like the Valentine's one and there should be someway to complete all the quest you start. It should not go away.

This needs to be fixed now.

Emailing support does not help. I've contacted support for missing gems, the response was sorry that happened. Took 2 wks for a reply. Then contacted support for the Glimmerbat and once again the response was "sorry about that" .

I just don't get why we would have to e mail support when they already knew about the bug? Seems to me that Team Lava doesn't care we spent time on this quest then got nothing because the never fixed the issue.

So do we think the turkey chicken will be pretty much a repeat of the turkey cow ie same materials needed? I'm prioritising red petals and have loads more acers, also have gone from one library/two markets to three of each (thankfully they are easy to build)
