Received a shield but didn't lose?

I have received a 12 hour shield following a raid on me nearly one hour ago.

The player knocked out the royal hall, a few vaults, and some low value buildings. They appeared to score 33%.

I was given 10 crowns, they made off with minimal coins (8012) and stones (5998).

This didn't appear to be a hack like other incidents reported. Player was 'windcharmer' and there's no implication of any wrongdoing from them.

This happen to me as welll.
I was attacked by Gondon's_Keep, and he lost to me 42% destroyed. I got 12 crowns from him but i got shield while he is only 1 attacker in my log. I dont think he is a hacker but just dont understand that what s wrong?

Shielding appears to have changed. I recall it used to be a 4hr shield for 50-74% damage, 8hrs for 75-99% damage, and 16hrs for 100%.
Now I get 12hrs with 52% damage and 16hrs with less than complete damage. Perhaps we are gaining shields for less than 50% damage now? That seems to be the case. I wouldn't complain. We have the option to keep or toss the shield. Sometimes a shield means that dishes get washed. Meals get cooked. Kids get tickled. Yay for shields!

Happened to me again about 5 hrs ago. Turkanator was the player. Similar deal as last report. Royal hall and a few mines destroyed. He got 34% and minimal resources. I got 40 crowns and a 12 hr shield.

Confirmed: I have a shield still intact from a battle I won 9hrs ago. I got 12hr protection after 43% damage. I think some players DID ask for a winner's shield in the Suggestions forum some time ago.
