Confirmed purchase of ultra rare and got instead rare and took my gold

I broke down and decided to purchase one of the ultra rare dark angel dragons. I was going slow to be sure I did everything correctly, and when it showed the confirmation screen for 3000 gold for dark angel, I thought about it for a couple seconds and then clicked confirm. Imagine my disappointment when I saw the deep dragon egg I already had and it took 1400 gold. I could not believe this system glitch. I am afraid to ever purchase another dragon, for fear it will give me something different. I logged a ticket earlier today, but don't expect them to respond for a few days. I also don't expect them to believe me that it was their system error. Has this ever happen to you?
