So I'm curious... is Ninja supposed to be able to be used as a breeding parent?

I sped through the tournament to get it and see what types it adds to the breeding pool. It adds red and black but the Black is not splitting into blue/purple. So... either the breeding rules for this new type is different or someone messed up....
