Bought or harvested items disappear

So over the last two days, I will buy or harvest a crop, only to have it disappear. Sometimes I click on the silo immediately after purchase, and then it shows as more full, but when I forget to do that, sometimes the items just don't make it there.

Are you using the crop for anything? Feed for animals? To make any food?

When I purchase an item from the newsstand, it says SOLD and takes my money but doesn't give me the item. Today I bought a shovel that I have been waiting days for. It disappeared. iPad 2
