People say that blocking the door is not a good thing, but is it ok if I block the door because I don't have anything on the racks or counters? Thanks in advance.

If your racks and counters are empty, then some people block their door to prevent their heart rating from dropping. So in this case, it should be ok

But remember that if you have any inventory out on your racks or counters and your door is blocked, you may or may not lose the stock/coins earned since the game is not designed for having the door blocked.

As aileeniweeni said, the game is not designed for having the door blocked. TeamLava does not recommend doing this as players have lost their boutique merchandise or food if your playing Bakery or Restaurant.
