Why make the quest so hard??? Really it's just another imaginary critter on an imaginary island, where I can't resist spending REAL money!
Finally, I have a 31 hour egg on the den on the main account. Moon has arrived!

Fortunately, that's not literal..it's a good thing we don't have to sit on our eggs to hatch them! Grats roguebee, even without the comet parts, the quest is a great payoff...except when lotus blossoms come...and the baby moon dragon is adorable! <3

How many times do I need to try for this on a quest? It takes a whole day and I end up with (not needed) coins , a spell scroll or a lotus flowers. I feel likeep giving up on this one. It's tougher than battling a champion dragon.
I think it took me 6 months of regularly trying for the comet parts and pieces.
Don't give up. NEVER give up. It took me longer to breed Moon than to get the necessary parts for Comet. Be persistent. Be resilient. Be patient. You'll get there
It takes a very long time. I think it took me more than a year to quest for all the parts.
