Diamond becomes available at level 10 and you can buy it outright or buy/save gold to push through the fails. I am certain someone has purchased one at level 10 but there is no way to prove how they obtained it so the "accomplishment" is rather a moot point. Our family recentely started playing on our iPAD as well. Level 23 today and used Honeybee Level 6 and Atlantis level 6..bam Diamond.
