I was unhappy to see that the Trumpet Player cost 12 gems. But since it appears the Crystal Piano is the ultimate reward of the goal (plus 2 gems and coins), I won't be completing this goal. Gems are hard enough to earn (and I won't buy them), so I'm going to spend gems on things I really want. But that will be chancy because I want certain items from the Candy Jar goal. I didn't get either of the 2 things I wanted from the Red Autumn goal. But at least I really wanted to spend gems on those.
I've used 4 gems to skip the trumpet player goal and realized that I didn't lose out any of my hard earned gems. Since "In The Mood" and "Kick It Off" goals rewarded you with 2 gems each for completing the goals. So at the end, you recoup back the 4 gems which you spent skipping the goal. It's only disadvantage for those who bought the trumpet player for 12 gems as they lost out a total of 8 gems.
On backery story. Goal: kick it off
I'm playing bakery story and on the goal kick it off. The goal is to buy the trumpet, bass, and drum players and it let me buy the bass player but when I go to get the drummer or trumpet player it says they are locked by a goal. Any one know what it could be and why they won't let me buy it?
@tenise3: You need to complete the other goals first to unlock the trumpet player and jazz drummer.
Does anyone know what comes after this goal?
I want to buy the rock-n-roll counters but not sure if I have to buy them for the next goal

The rock and roll counters were released after the goals were released, and are not required for the goals. The brass counters were required.
If you skip a goal do you still get the prize
For diamond if I skip the 12 hour baking will I still get the prize.
Why would the trumpet player and the drummer be locked?
Urrgghhh, I hated to spend gems on a trumpet player I didn't want :/, but I finally unlocked the Musical Drink Machine today!... took forever to unlock that appliance!!
It's part of a goal to complete to unlock the Musical Drink Machine.
