Mermaid Scales Inventory Is Going Backwards

I noticed that when I harvest mermaid scales, my inventory of that item actually decreases instead of increases. I tried closing the game and restarting, but the issue remains. Any thoughts out there?

Try deleting and redownloading the game.
Make sure you are playing on the Castle Valentine game.

Also are you checking your inventory right before you collect from ponds and wells?
If not you may be using some mermaid scales from you inventory for other things.
