can't send/receive gifts

I have an android phone and am still fairly new but I cant seem to be able to send gifts to friends nor receive gifts. I've been using the Valentine's edition and I think ive only been gifted twice since starting the game even though there are people who I daily visit and whom visit daily back. Plus every time I try to send gifts it'll say that all but like one person can receive a gift for some reason or another let the time be mid-day or just after the midnight reset.

did you try to restart your game? like close the app and re-open it?
I've never had such a problem..

note that you can only send 3 gifts a day. So if you did a mass send out, only 3 got it and you can't send any more. You can also only receive 20 gifts per day.

That would explain a little my gifting but not why when I have over 20 new friends that I have only ever received literally two gifts since I started the game on the 1st.

Since members can only send out three gold per day, they may not be sending you gold everyday, their gold may be promised to to other players.

When you put it like that then it does make sence. With 20+ friends only 3 would be gifted. I guess I understand now.
