Upgrading buildings - Info and Bugs

I only realised now that you can upgrade buildings such as theatre, observatory, markets etc.

Was this always the case and I was just too silly to notice. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else.

Edit: Some people are having issues upgrading or building buildings. In these cases the requirements are showing coins instead of th item. Make sure that you're playing on the valentine version to avoid this.

You can also force close and restart your game to see the correct requirements.

Make sure you update to version 1.1.5 as the coin display issue has been fixed.

I got this update before while collecting from my buildings. Couldn't figure out what was going on at first lol!
But so excited that there's something new to do in this game yay!

It says "to upgrade a building, tap on it and hit the green "Gather Materials" button....."

But i couldn't find any green button , any hint ?

Try force closing then restarting your game.

Visually can't tell whether the building has been upgraded or not ....
