I think I've played it 50 times. Seems there is no way to win other than buying power ups. :,(

I've been holding out and haven't bought any. It's way too expensive in this game!

Took me about two weeks. I did not buy powerups. My husband is still trying to get it...i think it is week three now for him. Hang in there!

Keep at it, you will get it. I managed to beat 72 on the first try, I'm guessing it was a fluke though. I was able to dig 24 levels though, so it's definitely possible to win.

I'm still there it's been a couple weeks now for me too. I think I've drilled down 12 levels at the deepest.

My biggest tip is ignore the doom jewels and concentrate entirely on trying to dig. The deeper you dig the more likely the will vanish. Of course if you get a clear chance to get rid of one take it but don't focus only on that. Try to get as many bombs and blasters as you can. A diamond or too helps as well

Recent update made the possibility even bigger by adding more time: 30 seconds, CMIIW...
Without additional 30 seconds, my highest achievement was minus 2 rows. :P
